Climate-controlled storage means different things in different facilities. At The Car Den, we think it's important to be specific about what we actually provide and why it matters. Humidity, temperature swings and condensation can cause corrosion, deterioration of rubber seals, problems with electrics and damp interiors. Our Premium facility is designed to manage all of these.
WHAT WE MEAN BY CLIMATE-CONTROLLED:
- Fully insulated to keep temperatures stable, preventing the overnight drops that cause condensation to form on cold metal surfaces
- Actively dehumidified, with background heating to assist moisture control year-round
- Fan-ventilated all year-round to prevent stale, damp air building up around the vehicle
- Temperature and humidity digitally monitored 24/7, so conditions are always known, not assumed

We are located near Battle and Ninfield, East Sussex. The exact location is shared on confirmed appointment. We operate on a strictly appointment-only basis.

Yes. Our site is in a discreet rural location with appointment-only access, managed directly by us at all times. Standard and Premium Indoor storage is protected by Ultra High Definition CCTV and a monitored intruder alarm. The buildings are steel-framed with damp-proofed floors

Yes, we'd be delighted to show you around, strictly by prior appointment. Please contact us to arrange a suitable time

Simply contact us to arrange collection or drop-off. We kindly request at least 48 hours notice wherever possible to ensure we can accommodate your preferred time

We hold £1 million public liability insurance for the facility and our work. Vehicles remain insured under the owner's own policy while in storage. We recommend informing your insurer that the vehicle is stored at our premises and ensuring it is covered under either your normal road risk policy or a laid-up policy for fire, theft and accidental damage

Yes. Regular visual checks are carried out and any issues reported to you promptly

Yes, that's absolutely fine. Just let us know and we'll adjust your arrangement accordingly

Our minimum storage term is one month. We require one month's notice to end your storage

Rates shown are for vehicles up to 5.0m long and 2.0m wide. If your vehicle exceeds either dimension, please get in touch for a bespoke quote

All our prices are fully inclusive, with no hidden extras. The price you see is the price you pay

Storage fees are payable monthly in advance by standing order, due on the first day of each month. Alternatively, 12 months can be paid in advance with a 5% discount

Yes. When you collect your stored vehicle, you're welcome to leave your other vehicle with us

Possibly, subject to available space. Non-runner storage is limited and unfortunately maintenance or other work on our premises is not permitted. Please contact us to discuss your requirements

Under normal circumstances, vehicle maintenance or repairs on-site are not permitted. An exception would be essential repairs needed to get a vehicle running again in the event of a breakdown while on the premises
