First introduced in 2005, the format for Drive It Day is a tried and tested formula. The Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs sets the date each year and publicises the event nationally.
The many clubs that comprise the Federation's membership then plan and schedule regional and local events throughout the country.
Fundraising plates can be bought here and the proceeds support Childline.

This year’s staging of what is the world’s longest running motoring event will take place on Sunday 5 November 2023 commemorating the famous Emancipation Run of November 1896.

All Smart owners are invited to drive into Beaulieu to park up in the museum grounds, for a day out that owners and enthusiasts will enjoy. The event is set to provide a great opportunity to admire a wide range of these fun and often colourfully wrapped vehicles, from the `ForTwo` to the `Roadster` and even the limited edition Crossblade.
